Meet our Board of Directors:
In 2006, Serge Pun led his Yoma Strategic Holdings to a successful listing on the mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange. He was Honorary Business Representative of International Enterprise Singapore for Myanmar between 2004 to 2006. In 2007, he was appointed to be a member of Dalian’s CPPCC. He has been invited to many international forums as a guest speaker or panelist on subjects relating to China,Myanmar and ASEAN.
Martin Pun is one of Myanmar’s leading philanthropists and is the founder of the Myanmar Business Coalition on AIDS . He has been the Chairman of this non-profit organization since its inception in 2002. He is also the founding Chairman of Asia Business Coalition on AIDS based in Maryland, USA and is a member of the UNDP Advisory Panel on HIV/ AIDS for the Asia Pacific region.
U Kyaw Paing is the Managing Director of SPA (Myanmar) Ltd. and Chaiman of Yoma Bank.
Born in Yangon, U Kyaw Paing is a trained lawyer with in-depth knowledge of Myanmar
corporate and financial Law. He joined SPA Myanmar in 1991 and is currently in charge of
the Group’s Financial Services division.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Law in 1973 from the University of Yangon and a Bachelor of Law in 1974. U Kyaw Paing is also a former national golf player who has represented Myanmar around the region.
Prior to joining SPA Myanmar, Melvyn spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, where he was most recently Managing Director, Head of Asia Ex-Japan Corporate Solutions Group. Melvyn had extensive experience in serving corporations and nonprofit organizations in Asia for financial services including fund raising, investments and risk management.
Melvyn holds a First Class Honours degree in Master of Engineering from Cambridge University.
He joined the SPA Group in 2007 and assumed a leading role in the development of Grand Central, Dalian and currently heads the group’s Corporate Development division. Prior to joining SPA, Cyrus Pun worked for Hutchison Port Holdings in the South China Commercial Division based in Hong Kong.
Cyrus was educated in the UK and received his BA in Economics for the London School of Economics.
U Linn Myaing is a director of SPA (Myanmar) Ltd. and Chief Operating Officer of the group’s affiliate First Myanmar Investment Co. Ltd.
He served as Advisor to the Board from 2006 to 2012. At present, he also oversees the Group's Government Relations dpartment. Prior to joining SPA, U Linn Myaing was a diplomat and the former Myanmar Ambassador to the United States and France, Head of the Myanmar delegation to the European Union in Brussels and UNESCO in Paris and Myanmar Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva.
